Good for a lotion
I purchased 2 16 ounce containers of this 'body butter' in order to make some specialized product for a few clients. I decided to try it because it claimed it was thick and heavy cream based. It was less expensive than what I have been purchasing from another company, so I gave it try.
It is very smooth and creamy, but really not as thick as I expected. It's more like a thick lotion than a body butter. I do like that it is so smooth, but I tested it on sensitive skin (which is one of the main reason I make my own) and it has a tendency to burn a bit on irritated skin, so I could never use for some of my clients.
It does mix well when I add healing oils to it and it does allow me to add scented oils for those who wish for fragrance to be added. I will most likely use this for clients who want a nice thick lotion or light body butter, but I will have to continue to utilize the other product for clients with sensitive skin. I would never risk causing a client pain or increased irritation with any product. -
The best body butter base ever!
I frequently purchase this base in 6 gallon quantities because they sell out fast. I have the quality of the product and so do my customers. I just wish that they would keep it in stock more often.

I have purchased this lotion a few times and it is the best base out there. I can add whatever oils I need to it to adapt to my skin or for gifts. It's great, thick, and easy to use.

WONDERFUL
This is a top selling product but Bulk fails to keep it in stock. Like other customers, I've had to purchase my cream base from other suppliers. I've also noticed the price is higher. If it's more expensive now, Bulkapothecary should at least keep it in stock. It's hard to stay faithful to BULK when other suppliers pursue your business with cheaper prices.

Not Happy
When I received my 2 gallons the cream was opened and had leaked everywhere in the box. I couldn't understand where will FedEx even delivered the box damage. I could not make my product because there was paper fragments in the cream from the brown paper wraps in the box. For the first time I was very disappointed with the service.
