WARNING - Breaks down when FO added
Do not buy this if you intend to add FO. Even though it says you can add your own ingredients, with no warning about FO, there are clearly some FO that won't work. We bought it to fill our first ever hand soap order. When we added a very common FO (Cherry Eclipse from CS) at 3%, it broke, turned white, went as thin as water and then separated in a nasty mess with chunky white solids on the bottom. Luckily, we started with a small batch, but we're still out about $250 in FO and $400 in bottle labels. I have no idea how this got 80+ five-star reviews when you can't even add FO.

Unscented Body Shower Gel
I wanted to make my own body products. I bought the diy unscented bases from Bulk Apothecary in hopes of creating my own lovely products. I purchased my fragrance oils from Bulk Apothecary, as well. Following directions, explicitly, my shower gel is a BOMB. I was delighted to see how really thick the shower gel arrived, wanting my end product to be a thick shower gel. After adding the correct amount of fragrance oils my finished shower gel is as runny as water. I have bathed using the product I made. The shower gel suds up great and the fragrance is wonderful But it's so runny that putting some on my shower crunchy, the product ran right through the scrunchy. I'm not sure what exactly went wrong. Reading everywhere possible, on the Bulk Apothecary website there are no directions, per se. Nothing advising to heat the base for a better assimilation of fragrance to gel base. It's rather disappointing, seeing how I was really looking forward to my little fragrance projects , especially after reading all the good reviews. I suppose at this point, I might just have to find a different company who does give instructions on how to use their products.

Nature's Oil Unscented Shower Gel/Body Wash
My finished product is very watery. What can I do to thicken it up? Still is soapy and smells amazing but its just too watery.

Trial and error w/viscosity & additives
Took some trial & error mixing fragrances and oils into the base to find a combo that did not separate. Jojoba oil does not seem to work well with this base. Now that I've found the right formula I am thrilled with the product!
