Orange and Brown Potpourri Blend
All of our Potpourri Blends are absolutely fantastic if you are new to Potpourri Making. We took all the guess work out of this lost art by providing you a beautiful turnkey base ready for you to scent with your favorite fragrance. Most Retailers sell a 4oz. (1/4 lb) Potpourri for as much as $12 per bag. This makes our bases an unbelievable value. For those customers that want to "jazz up" our blends, you can always add any of our decorative botanicals to your blend before scenting.
How to Scent?
Scenting our blends is simple. We typically recommend about 3-4% fragrance to blended base. Basically 1 of our .5 oz. bottles of fragrance will scent an entire 1 lb. bag. If you would prefer your blend to be a bit stronger you can always adjust this level but this at least gives you a guide. Simply add fragrance to your blend by slowly pouring it over the blend or spraying it over the blend. Just be sure to add the fragrance slowly while mixing the blend up to ensure proper dispersion.
As this is a natural product appearance will vary from season to season. The dried plant materials are bleached, dyed or painted to contribute to artistic designs. These may be further treated to increase the durability and preserve the composition of the product. Here at Bulk Apothecary - we care about our customers furthermore we feel that it is our obligation to advise you, our valued customers, that our botanicals should only be used for decorative purposes, and are therefore deemed to be inedible. They are not to be added to food, beverage or supplement preparations.
This mix is in harmony with nature. The color overall is slightly shaded toward the red spectrum but still shows gorgeous earth browns and orange.
This is a very pretty mix. I scented mine with autumn harvest fragrance and everyone loves it.
I thought I was going to be getting an orange and brown potpourri mixture to which I was going to add little pumpkin-shaped pods and Pumpkin Spice fragrance. However, what I got was a potpourri mix with more red tints than the orange or brown, although the orange and brown were in there too! Overall still a lovely blend, and I used it to make both Apple Cinnamon potpourri as well as the Pumpkin Spice!
