Love this brand!
I had used Dr.Bronner's and Dr. Woods before. I did not like the texture and lather of Dr.Woods. And since my local Costco stopped carrying Dr.B, I started looking for something similar but cheaper castile soap and thats how I found this website and Stephenson's Organic castile soap. I initally got 2 16oz to try and was very pleased with it. So when the gallon containers were back in stock, got a couple to stock up on. I mainly use it to make my own foaming hand soap as my skin dries out with the commercial grade stuff. This soap is by far the best. The lather is really smooth. I'm planning on making my own shampoo and face wash so ordered a few more gallons :)

Always out of STOCK!!!
This is, in my opinion, the best liquid soap base on the market. HANDS DOWN. It is unfortunate that it is ALWAYS OUT OF STOCK!!! I am constantly waiting for this item to become available, which is a major inconvenience for my business. But as for the product itself, I use it in many formulations, and I've never had a bad review. Note**Adding Colorants, Oils, etc. with this base is a bit challenging. You have to gently stir the heck out of it, for quite some time, for even distribution. But the end result is worth it. Don't try to add extra moisturizing Oils if you don't want an end product that has to be shaken before use. If you use a Mica powder colorant, I recommend mixing that into your essential/fragrance oils separately, or you will end up with "specks" of color throughout your product that will settle to the bottom of your container.

Nice alternative
Overall this is an inexpensive alternative to the more expensive brand I've been using. Works great with my essential oils as an alternative to commercially prepared antibacterial soaps. Did not leave my hands feeling dry. However, although not overpowering, the smell is a bit stronger than I'm used to.

Love love love this stuff!
This castile soap is thicker and the suds are richer than a popular brand that I have used. I love that it's unscented, that way I can custom scent it to my liking. The value is incredible! I did the math..... what I paid for a gallon of Stephenson castile PLUS shipping would only get me two 32 ounce bottles of the same popular brand I mentioned before. I am sticking with this!

Great natural soap.
Better than most cleaning products, and safe. All plant based.

THE BEST Castile Soap I've EVER Used!
Once I became an ardent fan of essential oils, I started making my own lotions and my own foaming soap. Making foaming hand soap is SO EASY AND ECONOMICAL!! Castile soap is one of the main ingredients in foaming hand soap-no soap and no foaming without it!! I've looked for other Castile soaps online, but all the ones I've found, except for Bulk Apothecary, are either already scented (fine if you don't prefer to add your own favorite scents) or the Castile soap is a baby shampoo. The baby shampoo kind makes the foaming hand soap more "slimy" and more difficult to rinse off. So now I'm back, and will stay back, with my #1 company for base products--Bulk Apothecary!!!!

I would (and do) highly recommended Bulk Apothecary for all your Essential Oil, soaping, . . . Needs. Bulk Apothecary has high quality products and VERY fast shipping. If you are short on something and time has gotten away from you . . You can count on Bulk Apothecary to get your order to you quickly.

Took a chance
I've always used Dr. Bonner's and love it. The price is the only issue I had, and since I use a LOT of castile soap, I decided to look at some other options. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Stephenson Brand to be equal in quality. Love it - thank you!

Great
This beats the Dr. Bonners castile soap which makes my head break out. This is based on vegetable glycerin and is very mild, doesn't seem as harsh as the other brand. My hair isn't so dried out anymore. Most shampoo brands in store really are hard on my skin, even those without a a lot of chemicals like parabens. This is the best.
