    Seized in soap making

Posted by Seized in cp soap on 29th Mar 2021

This isnā€™t for cold process soap...it will chunk up and seize as soon as you put it in the batch..plus it it like syrup...I bought a big bottle and I was so frustrated but. Does smell amazing if you can do hot process soap maybe itā€™s better

Work FAST when using in CP soap!

Posted by Lunar Llama on 20th Sep 2020

This fragrance oil definitely seizes REALLY fast. However, if you use the right recipe and you stay on your toes, you can get it into the mold and this fragrance is totally worth it.

    SEIZED IN COLD PROCESS SOAP

This fragrance smells WONDERFUL, but is not compatible with cold process soap. Batch seized immediately after adding this fragrance.

Do not use in CP Soap!

Posted by Wendy Bersche on 7th Oct 2018

This smell is fantastic...BUT, it starts seizing within SECONDS (I was at 95 degrees)and my beautiful cold press soap was ruined. I will have to rebatch it. And unfortunately I bought the16 ounce size. This is not the first FO I have bought from BA that has done this; Reindeer Retreat and a few others have as well. The prices may be great, but if it ruins all your soap batches, how much are you saving? I have order a couple of pretty decent sized orders, but Iā€™m not sure I can trust my soap business to BA. my goal is to make money, not lose it and this has been very frustrating and costly.

    Meh

Posted by Eric Geter on 27th Aug 2018

Initially it smelled really good but when I added it to my beard balm, the fragrance didnt mix well with shea butter. Now I have an aversion to it. Sometimes I'll diffuse it and it's nice so it's not a total loss.

    Not recommended for cp soap

Posted by Rebecca on 21st Aug 2018

I used this FO in my cp soap and my batter seized almost immediately and I had separation after forcing it into my mold. The fragrance reminds me of passing older gentlemen in public... Good smelling fellas, but not what I was hoping for. If you decide to try it in cold process, start with a small batch, without a water discount and soap at a temp as low as you can go! My formula has a good portion of hard fats and butters, so it might work with a higher amount of liquid oils.
