This oil has the ability to stretch so minimal use is required and that is appreciated because that element saves money. The most important factor is that Babassu oil is a healing source for skin condition. I used this on my husband's rosacea and it was cleared in 5 days applying it directly to the affected areas 3 times daily.

Already placed my 2nd order. Would like a different container. Bottle not appropriate.

I was looking for a replacement for coconut oil due to allergies. This is BETTER than coconut oil! Better feel to it, not a greasy. This has really good properties. This brand is awesome quality. You have to let the bottle sit in hot water a few mins to use the oil, which doesn't bother me. :)

The oil has the consistency of very soft shea butter. I am confused as to why this is packaged in a 15 oz bottle instead of in a jar. I was hoping that the oil will behave like coconut oil and liquefy at room temperature but it doesn't so now I have to cut the bottle in half to get the oil out and repackage it in a jar. Please consider shipping in jars instead of bottles.
Otherwise its a great oil for body and hair butters. absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn't have a smell so fragrance oils will blend well.

Based on the other reviews, I knew what to expect with the packaging. With that said, the packaging needs to be changed. I put the bottle in a pot filled halfway with water on the stove to melt it down to liquid form. Once this was done, I transferred the oil to a more manageable container so I could just scoop out the right portions for future use. The product itself was awesome and so is the price.

here it is september of 2016, & i mistakenly thought after reading the other reviews, that by now, this would, of course, be in a tub! nope.ok, so here's my idea:put it in the thick, resealable bags you'all use for powders, an opaque 1..i'm sure people will bitch about that too, but not near as much as now! 1 of my bottles warped & melted when i was melting the oil to put it in a tub, so i had to chuck it b/c who knows what kind of plastic toxins were released into the oil..i was so disappointed, b/c in spite of all this, i LOVE this oil! i even love the price, which i understand would rise if it were sold in a tub, this is why i believe you should think about my idea..thanks

As others have stated, this oil absorb without leaving a shine or sitting on the skin. I made a pain relief formula lotion with babassu oil as the primary oil and the results were outstanding. Rapid pain relief. Leaves skin feeling soft and moisturized. As others have stated often enough for a response, the packaging is not for the product. Luckily the weather is still very warm and I got enough out of the bottle without too much trouble. Will be a problem in December though. 5 stars for the oil, 0 stars for the packaging.
