Bay Rum fragrance has been tested for the following applications: Candle Making, Soap, as well as Personal Care Applications such as Lotion, Shampoo and Liquid Soap

–Please Note – This fragrance may also work in countless other applications.  The uses above are simply those products that we lab tested this fragrance in.  For other uses, it is recommended to test a small amount prior to full scale use. All of our fragrance oils are intended for external use only and should not be ingested under any circumstances.

Bulk Apothecary only sells the finest quality ingredients and our Bay Rum fragrance oil is no different.  All of our oils are custom blended by a team of perfumers that are industry veterans with the knowledge and experience to ensure quality and consistency that is unmatched in our opinion.  Furthermore our state of the art facility houses one of the largest stock inventories of fragrance oils in the nation making our signature fragrances available at wholesale pricing to the general public without lengthy lead times.

Many people ask us what makes our oils so much different from the competition.  The little known secret is that many large suppliers of fragrances dilute their oils with cheaper carriers to increase their profit margin.  This is often done at the manufacturing level and allows some suppliers to sell their product at prices that are occasionally lower than our wholesale price.  These elevated carrier levels drastically affect product quality and In many cases will force you to use as much as 5-10 times the fragrance oil that you would need with our top quality oils.  Our Adriatic Fig fragrance oil can typically scent much more product than any other supplier we’ve evaluated.  That’s the Bulk Apothecary difference!

I found my mind facing back to my childhood with memories of my Grandpa after his Saturday visit to the barber shop. Good Clean and masculine smell. Gives great aroma to the task I use for. and I use for shower gel and candles.

Lost a star due to fragrance only

This works well in CP soap and the fragrance is very potent (don't need to use a lot of it), its just a little too cologne-y for my taste.

    Not for me

Posted by Krystal on 8th Dec 2017

this fragrance oil behaves perfectly in cold process soap - no acceleration, no ricing, and so far no discoloration (though my batch has not finished curing yet so its a bit soon to tell). I had plenty of time to do a 4 color swirl pattern that turned out awesome. The scent is very strong & held up very well in CP soap. I am really not a fan of this fragrance though - it has a bit of a patchouli oil smell to me which is a scent I dont care for. Even blended with a really strong mandarin fragrance, this bay rum is still too overpowering for me.

    Best Bay Rum around

I love this scent and so do my clients. Works beautifully in CP soap, no acceleration or discoloring. Used 2oz bottle in a 5lb bar and scent comes through nicely.

This is our go to Bay Rum Oil

Posted by Michael on 22nd Aug 2017

We have been using this f/o since we started making men's grooming products in 2014. It is hands down our best seller.

Note to cold process soap makers, this does accelerate trace quickly. At least it does with our cp recipe. So much so that we have to work very quickly to get the batter in the molds FAST so that getting air bubbles out does not become an issue.

The scent stays true and lasts through the curing process.

It works exceptionally well in body sprays and roll on cologne. It is such a classic and masculine scent loved by many.

    Different but VERY NICE

Posted by Penny on 14th May 2017

This is a different smelling Bay Rum from what I'm used to. BUT it still smells amazing, even my 8 year old grandson when he smelled it he said "YUM" I'm having no problem with it selling out. I made hot process soap with it and no problems occurred.
