I would rate the oil at 5 stars but the packaging is just so awful. I bought the 7.5 and it comes in a jug - but it really needs to be in a bucket, just like the Shea Butter & Coconut oil. I have had trouble evenly melting the Babassu oil to pour it out - likely going to have to cut the top off the jug - which is time consuming and then you have storage and spoilage issues to worry about. Not happy about that :( Will think twice before ordering this again.

This Babassu is truly fantastic and priced well. I use it on my scalp after a shower, and blend it with other oils for my face at night.

However, being an oil that is solid at room temperature, I feel it should be in a scoopable container. I plan to remedy this by melting it down and pouring it into a glass jar.

I wasn't expecting a solid oil, but it melts really fast and isn't greasy once I rub it on my hands. I tried it on my hair overnight and it absorbed better than other oils and washed out well.

I love this oil for CP soap, body butter blends, and lotion bars. It absorbs into the skin much better than coconut oil, has a cooling effect and leaves skin silky smooth. However, the packaging needs to change. Solid at room temperature, I have to saw off the upper third of the container to scoop out the contents to avoid repeatedly heating it to liquid pourable form. It should be packaged in a jar for the small size and pails for larger quantities, same as the butters and coconut oil, please!

Excellent Product

I love this oil. It helps make my whipped butters super soft and creamy, and it doesn't feel greasy. Would prefer that it came in a jar instead of a bottle though. Must be melted down to get it out.

Just ordered this oil and have not used it to give it a proper rating. I was surprised though to see a solid oil in a bottle. The other oils I ordered and received in a bottle are still liquid. I have ordered shea and mango and they came in proper containers for solid butters/oils. Why the bottle? Would be much easier in a container for solid butters/oils. Looking forward to using this oil based on the reviews read.

I do love the way this oil feels. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feel. I haven't really worked with it at this time so I can't speak to that yet. The reason for not giving it a 5 star is the packaging. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering so that I knew what to expect. I ordered the 15oz bottle. the cap was shattered in the box when it arrived, but the red bottle topper was still in so the oil didn't leak anywhere. However, the oil solidified not long after I received it and now the only way to get it out of the bottle is to heat the plastic bottle to melt the oil. I'm not a big fan of heating plastic so this is a bit annoying, not to mention an extra step just to be able to use the oil. I'm jus confused as to why they package it this way if the oil is known to solidify. The other oils I've ordered that solidify come in a nice user-friendly container that you can scoop the oil out of.

Love this product. Adds extra lather to the soap. Nice oil no smell. Use for Cold Process Soap
