I've been making my own shampoo and was looking for a good, unscented, basic castile soap that I could use for the shampoo and for a body wash. This Stephenson brand, offered by Bulk Apothecary, is excellent. I've used it for my shampoo and body wash and am very pleased with the results. BA has an excellent web site, good prices and fast shipping. I had a problem that was resolved completely and quickly by the Customer Service lady who, by the way, was very nice and accommodating. The problem was that the bottle had come open in transit and spilled about half of the product out. The CS lady replaced what had been lost and I had it in my possession within a week. Kudos!!

A great organic liquid soap that lends itself well as a base for body wash, shampoo and other detergent uses. Since it is unscented it can readily accept the fragrance of your choice.

Your tip on thickening with salt was very helpful. I was able to make salt scrub jelly that is cleans and is detoxifying with no need to keep in the refrigerator. Awesome stuff. Thanks.

Unscented liquid Castile soap allows me to add essential oils as it doesn't have a fragrance at all. Lathers nicely too

I have been using a natural Castile soap for years, but it has always been so expensive. I recently purchased the Stephenson Organic Castile Soap and never realized how thick and luxurious this product could be. I have made some of my own mixtures, using essential oils, and found that this product is so thick that I can dilute it with distilled water to create a plethora of products, from one gallon.

This is so much better than I expected in value!

We bought this to evaluate to use as a base for shower gel instead of making our own liquid soap. We feel its much to thin. However, it does feel good.
