The story of how this blend was created comes from the legend of four thieves which was cited in a number of aromatherapy books. The basic premise of the story is that for centuries, the bubonic plague outbreaks decimated Asian and European cultures. From this period came popular legends of thieves who were captured and charged with stealing from the dead. When the thieves were finally tried, they were offered leniency if they would reveal how they avoided contracting the infection as they performed these horrible acts. They revealed a concoction of herbs and vinegar known as thieves oil that they rubbed on themselves before committing their crimes. As time went on, researchers have taken the essential oils from some of these herbs sited in the legend and applied them to popular essential oil blends. It is important to note this is a legend and should not be used to support theories that thieves oil can prevent the bubonic plague or any other disease or infection.

Uses for our version of
Thieves Essential Oil
Thieves oil is a proprietary blend of essential oils that was made popular by Young Living. Because of the popularity of this oil many large companies in the aromatherapy industry have created compare to products that mimic the thieves essential oil recipe. - Add 3 to 4 drops of the essential oil to our best essential oil diffuser and diffuse for approximately 20 to 30 minutes to freshen the air in your home or workplace
- Make a 2% dilution of the essential oil blend in a base of fractionated coconut oil for use on your skin. This can also be mixed with your favorite massage oil for a muscle soothing massage.
- Breath it in by mixing 2% oil with hot water and breathe in the vapors.(be careful not to get too close and risk hot water splashing up on you or getting burned by the hot pan. )
- Fill a spray bottle with water and add the essential oil blend at a 2% dilution to make an all-purpose cleaning spray, which can be used on countertops, desks, and other surfaces. Make sure to shake before using, as the oil and water will naturally separate.

Love this new essential oil!
Was just introduced to this product over the holidays through a gift from my niece. I'm enjoying its soothing nature while I work through my busy days at the office!

Knocks out a cold cold.
As soon as I start sneezing or coughing I take 5 drops with 1/2 teaspoon raw honey 2 or 3 times every hour and the cold is gone. Love this stuff!

Great Value
I ordered this because it was the best price for Thieve's Oil that I've found. I was going to try to make my own. I've only smelled another brand (can't remember whose) out of a bottle, and I did like the other better. I think I'll just add a little more bergamot to this and I'll be satisfied. Thank you for offering this blend at an affordable price! Now I need recipes to use this in (so far I only make m&p soap)!

Wonderful product, great price
Bulk Apothecary version of Thieves oil is outstanding,Wonderful product, great price, quick shipping. I had some minor toe fungus and having read about the anti-fungal properties, decided to give it a try. Great results. The new nail is growing out clean. It also appears to be working on some black mold in the basement.

This product is a much more affordable option to other manufacturer's Thieves Essential Blend Oil!
I use this product daily on the bottom of my feet to keep from becoming ill. I used to use a competitor's oil prior to discovering Bulk Apothecary. I have not been ill while using this oil on my feet! I recommend to all. It is also a great oil to clean with, diffuse and to get rid of mold and mildew.
