Suds and Lather
Using 10% Castor Oil in a CP Soap recipe (use a lye calculator to do it right, don't just substitute) really adds bubbly lather to your soap - I love it. It seems 10-14% helps the lather a lot, adding more doesn't help and it does make for softer soap if you use too much. Ricinoleic acid is a source of 18 carbon chain fat, with a kink in the chain and an OH group at the kink. This oddity makes it hydrophilic relative stearic acid (palm), and thus the lather. Great stuff. Bulk Apothecary has great prices, even with shipping for my area.

This is the only way to buy CASTOR OIL for Mole trouble. One bottle of castor oil in the local store cost 14 dollars just for 32 ounces.It is much better to buy in bulk!
