IGI 4627 Single Pour Container Candle Wax

    Melting Point: 125 degree F (52 degrees C)

The IGI 4627 wax is a very creamy, smooth specialty candle wax that is designed for container candles.

Some features of IGI 4627 Paraffin wax are:

controlled batch consistency that does not require the use of additives.

This wax is a great single pour wax under optimal conditions.

This wax has great burn characteristics with fantastic hot and cold throw, and great adhesion to glass jars.

Working temperature should be around 175 - 185 degrees F.  For best side wall adhesion it is recommended that you preheat containers to 125 to 150 degrees F.

This wax can typically handle fragrance levels up to 10% by weight.

This wax typically performs best with larger wick sizes and HTP wicks are recommended.

It is important to note that this wax is sticky and a bit more difficult to work with but has fantastic scent throw.

The product color ranges from White to Dark Amber.

    2. I needed a new container wax 5 star review

I have used wax from the same company for years but recently the quality has varied. When I had to start using a heat gun to fill in sink holes I knew it was time to find a new wax. I decided to try IGI 4627 PARAFFIN based on the one review that was posted. I LOVE IT! Once I got past the unfamiliar consistency and made a batch I was hooked! I do find that I don't need to use as much color as the wax absorbs it very readily.

    3. Favorite paraffin wax 5 star review

This can take up to 2 ounces of fragrance per pound of wax. I usually do 1 and half ounces per pound. I use a wide mouth pint canning jar and 62-52-18 wick. This will give a really strong scent every time. Love the wax so much. Many people complain of its Vaseline like consistence. I find this part very easy. I cut all 4 corners down the side of the block. I then peel the plastic down so I can cut blocks out of it with the knife. The knife has a 9 in smooth blade. The knife can be heated with a heat gun for ease of slicing but does not need to be. I also keep a kitchen dough scraper to lift out what I cut. Which can also be heated with a heat gun for ease of lifting. It's optional. I use a heat gun after the candle is made to melt a perfectly smooth top also. This wax is one of the best on the market. So glad it is now being sold at bulk apothecary. I have purchase most of my supply's from them and have always had top quality products and Sevice from them. I also love their premium lotion and essential oils. I wish I could buy tins from them for the candles I make.
