Happy 4th of July!!
Here’s a quick recipe for patriotic hand soaps. Use them in your guest bath during your holiday cookout, pass them out as party favors or add them to your lineup if you’ve establish a little soap shop!
However you decide to use them, they’re perfect for the time of year we celebrate our beautiful country.
2 lbs. White MP Soap Base (any type you’d like)
Aruba Coconut Fragrance Oil (a nice summer scent!)
This fragrance is wonderful for any soap, scrub or lotion you make this summer. It’s a light, beachy scent that screams summer!
After cutting your soap base into cubes, divide the base into three parts: ¼ of the base will be used for the blue color, ¼ of the base will be used for the red color, and the remaining 1 ½ lbs. will be used for the scented white portion of the soap.
Using ¼ of the cubed MP base, melt it in the microwave and stir in the blue soap color (you can use liquid, mica powder, or a soap color block for this recipe).
With a spoon, splatted the blue soap all over the soap mold. You can be as heavy handed or light handed as you’d like with this!
Repeat the process using a red soap color, splattering the red soap all over the blue soap.
Melt the remaining soap base in the microwave and stir in ½ teaspoon of fragrance oil.
Pour the scented white base over the splattered red and blue soap. Allow the block of soap to cool completely before unmolding. When ready, apply gentle pressure along the border of the soap and in the center of each soap to release the block.
Using a straight soap cutter, slice along the lines to create individual bars.
Easy, right?! These will be an awesome addition to your summer parties!
