Orange Creamsicle Sugar Soap Recipe

One of my favorite summer treats are creamsicles- you know, the orange popsicles filled with vanilla ice cream? Yum! I love the combination of the tart citrus with the sweet vanilla flavor. It’s SO good!

This recipe is my soap version of a cool summer treat. The fluffy whipped base is wonderful for a cool shower after a day in the hot sun. When mixed with sugar, it gently exfoliates the skin to a perfect polish.

Oh- and it smells pretty delicious too.

So gather up your supplies and try it out for yourself!

You’ll need:

1 cup Foaming Bath Butter

1/2 cup Sugar

1.5 teaspoons Sweet Orange Essential Oil

1.5 teaspoons Vanilla Sugar Fragrance Oil (or vanilla essential oil)

1 teaspoon Jojoba Oil

Copper Sparkle Mica Powder

As always, we have to start this recipe by whipping the bath butter base into a light fluffy consistency. This is best achieved with an electric mixer (otherwise your arm would get one heck of a workout). Once the base has been whipped, blend in the oils.?Screen Shot 2014-06-30 at 9.13.16 AM

After the oils have been successfully incorporated into the mix, beat in the sugar (a little sugar with the foaming bath butter base is a wonderful way to add a gentle grit which will act as an exfoliating agent and make skin soft and smooth).

Finally, mix in the mica powder starting with a small amount and blending, then adding more until you’ve achieved the color you want. I was looking for a soft hint of color with a little sparkle and this mica powder did just that!

Ooh la la!

The color, the texture, the fragrance- so wonderful for a summer scrub.

I hope you enjoy it!
