This recipe is so easy and so fun!

Whether you’re making it for yourself or for any little mermaids you may know, it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.

The mermaid fragrance oil is sweet and summery and the mica powders will add a fun hue to your bath water- just like you’re swimming in the ocean!

Don’t be fooled- even though this recipe is kid approved, it’s also a great way to sink into a relaxing bath with a glass of wine and a good book.

For your mermaid mixture, you’ll need:

2 cups of Dead Sea Salt

1 teaspoon Mermaid Fragrance Oil

Matte Teal Green Pigment Powder

Matte Cobalt Blue Pigment Powder

For the color, I blended two different matte pigments. Starting with a little of each, I continued to mix and add the powders a little at a time until.

The salts looked like beautiful, tropical ocean water. For this result I used more of the teal with a small amount of the blue. I think it turned out perfect!

Add in the fragrance oil and thoroughly blend it into the salt so that the scent is evenly dispersed.

Spoon into airtight containers (lidded jars or sealable pouches) for storage. I used clear front stand up pouches and finished each pouch with a printed label.

Add to warm bath water and enjoy your dip in the ocean!!

Was that easy or what?!

  2. What size of bag is in the picture? I’m having a nautical themed baby shower and would love to do these as the party favors but need to know how much this batch will make.

  3. Hello
Love this recipe! I am making favors for a shower in nautical bottles . I am making 32 at approximately 6-7 oz per bottle. Would you be able to tell me how much I would need for this amount?
    Thank you!

    1. Glad you like it. You’ll need around 14 times the listed ingredients, since this recipe can make roughly 16 oz. of the product, and you need roughly 224 oz. (at 7 oz. x 32). Hope this helps!

  4. Thank you!
Just received my order today.! Will the scent stay as strong if they are made ahead of time? They will be in glass corked botttles.
