Recipe: Bombshell Whipped Body Butter

As the VS models say, Hello Bombshell. Yep, this body butter could be your ticket to the runways or at least to model worthy skin. It’s silky, luxurious texture glides effortlessly across the surface of the skin leaving it velvety soft. Oh- and it smells pretty amazing too. Using coconut oil and bombshell fragrance oil, this lotion could have easily be made in heaven- but you can make it in about 5 minutes in your kitchen!

If you’re not familiar with coconut oil (the big ticket item in this recipe), here’s a quick rundown: it’s solid at room temperature and easily melts with contact to the skin (using your body heat). So when using it for lotioning purposes, it’s typically solid in my bathroom and I scoop out a clump with my fingers and smooth it into my skin as its melting. It leaves the skin feeling so soft and it smells pretty great too.

For this body butter, I wanted a more elegant look and feel- so I whipped it! It’s so easy and leaves you with a fluffy, velvety, creamy texture that feels AMAZING on your skin! Add in the addictive super model scent and this is a combo that’s hard to beat. I LOVE it.

So, are you ready for your close up? Whip this little number up and you will be in no time!

– 2 cups Coconut Oil

– 4-6 drops Bombshell Fragrance Oil

Plastic Jar

Place coconut oil and fragrance oil in your stand mixer. Beat on high for 10 minutes, or until mixture is thick and fluffy in consistency. Scoop into a lidded jar and enjoy! That’s it! Could it be an easier to create a luxurious, velvety body cream? I think not.

  1. HELP!!! I want to make this so bad but it will not whip! I used the 76 degree coconut oil from your site but it ends up runny, do I need a different kind of coconut oil?

    1. The 76 degree coconut oil will work; try melting it to around 50 degrees Celsius, add the fragrance oil, and whip it. You’d want to ensure that the coconut oil is not all the way melted (occurs at 76 degrees for this coconut oil).
