Orange Peppermint Bath Salts Recipe

Bath salts are one of the easiest recipes to make when it comes to handmade bath and beauty products. They come together in minutes and are so simple to change up and customize for the person you’e making them for.

Today, I paired sweet orange essential oil with a hint of peppermint essential oil and it’s a homerun. The two fragrances blend together to form an invigorating, sweet, citrus scent that will instantly awaken you. You can certainly customize bath salts by using a variety of essential oils but this combination is so amazing!

You’ll need:

1 lb. Dead Sea Salts

2 TBS Sweet Orange Essential Oil

1-2 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

Stand Up Pouches

Orange essential oils are wonderful in bath salts because they naturally color the mixture. While it isn’t a dark, vibrant color, it’s a beautiful hint of yellow-orange that makes the mixture so pretty.

Once you’ve added in both essential oils, blend the mixture well to be sure all salts crystals have been covered and that the oils are evenly distributed throughout the mixture. It should come together fairly quickly.

Scoop into a lidded container or zip-lock pouch for storage. I used a stand up pouch and finished it with an easy printed label. The pouch held all 16 oz of our bath salts perfectly! This product will usually last 1-2 years in an airtight container – so you have plenty of time to use them 🙂

To use, simply add the salts to warm bath water and soak. Be sure to rinse the tub well when you’re done as the salts and oils can leave a residue.
