DIY Stress Relief Balm Recipe

What can you do to reduce your level of stress? Need a pick me up midday?

Here’s a simple DIY recipe you can whip up in no time. You’ll be making a small amount. But, a little goes a long way. Hand these little tins to a few friends this week. They’ll thank you! 🙂

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons coconut oil

3 tablespoons beeswax

1 tablespoon sweet almond oil

5 aluminum empty round lip balm tins (double or triple the recipe to make more)

organic eucalyptus (lemon) essential oil – 6 drops

organic orange essential oil – 3 drops

organic cinnamon leaf essential oil – 4 drops

This blend of essential oils has a strong uplifting scent. It works great for that added stress and tension! Why? This is what these oils are known for:

Eucalyptus essential oil- very refreshing , typically cooling, helps with healthy breathing.

Orange essential oil- can promote detoxification, enhances mood and calmness.

Cinnamon Leaf essential oil- helps energize and awaken senses.

These are just a few of the wonderful benefits that essential oil have.

Instructions:

  1. Melt beeswax in a microwave safe bowl for 15 seconds. Since we’re using such a small amount, it will melt quickly. Stir until completely melted and clear in color. Melt the 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, stir and pour into beeswax. Depending on your microwave, I would suggest melting at 10 second intervals. Pour 1 tablespoon of the sweet almond oil into the mixture. Then, add essential oils. You can always add more or less depending on your preference for the strength of the scent.

  1. Scoop ½ teaspoon into each tin container. Let cool and harden. The balm mixture will setup pretty quickly. However, I would wait an hour or two before putting tin lid covers on.

  1. Your creation is ready to use, label or package for your friends, family or customers.

This balm in very convenient for anyone on the go. Store in your desk at work, purse or night stand. To use, simply apply a small amount to temples, back of neck and even your ankles and wrists. Enjoy the blend of stress relieving aromas.

Enjoy! 🙂

    • Those are 0.25 oz Aluminum Empty Round Lip Balm Tins, which are currently out of stock. we do not have an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for which I apologize. On the product’s page, please choose the size you’d like and enter your email address in the box below “Enter your email address to be notified when this item is back in stock”, then click “Notify Me”; this way you’ll be emailed when the item is available.

    • You can use all the ingredients with the exception of the essential oils, since they may be too hash for the lips and they are not sold to be ingested.

  1. I cannot use coconut oil because of allergies. What can I substitute??

  2. Are there labels to fit these small tin containers for lip balm?

  3. I found a recipe online for cleaning my oil painting brushes. It calls for clove leaf oil. Since the brushes are expensive I don’t want to use any thing harsh. The recipe calls for combining artist grad safflower oil with clove leaf oil. Have you heard of this? And would your oil be pure enough.

  4. Could you please advise how many grams of beeswax this recipe requires. Thanks!
