Chocolate Peppermint Candy Recipe

No matter my efforts to be as healthy as I can be- I can’t live life without sweets. I have a MAJOR sweet tooth that refuses to be suppressed. And to be honest, I don’t really try.

I mean- what’s life without chocolate? Right? Well, that’s how I justify my indulgences. Everything in moderation is also a completely logical approach to giving in to my cravings.

AND- chocolate is healthy for your heart. See, there are a lot of reasons to keep on enjoying chocolate (or excuses if you choose to see it that way).
Anyway- there are ways to make chocolate a little healthier. “Have your cake and eat it too” so to speak.

This recipe uses unrefined ingredients and incorporates an essential oil to yield a dairy free, vegan chocolate that will rock your world!

So go ahead and indulge. Guilt-free.

Chocolate Peppermint Candy Recipe

Chocolate Peppermint Candy
Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 15 mins
Total time: 20 mins
Serves: 6

2/3 cup melted Coconut Oil (melt in a sauce pan over low heat if the oil is solid)
1/4 cup Raw Coconut Nectar (you can also use honey)
1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
2-3 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
Pinch of Sea Salt

What to do:

Combine all of the ingredients into a blender and blend on high for 1 minute or until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Pour the batter into a baking dish or shallow cookie sheet and spread evenly with a spatula.

For easy removal, line the dish or cookie sheet with wax paper.

Place the dish (or cookie sheet) in freezer for at least 15 minutes to harden.

Cut into pieces and enjoy- without any guilt! Yum… I’m going to whip some up now!
