Here’s another super quick recipe that you can toss together in minutes!

Just because a recipe is simple doesn’t mean it has to lack in appearance or quality. This sugar scrub smells AMAZING! A perfect summer scrub to polish sun-kissed bronzy skin before heading out for the evening. It’s also a great scrub to have at the kitchen sink for clean up after gardening.

And it takes about 5 minutes to make.

Yep. That’s it.

You’ll need:

2 cups Granulated Sugar

1 cup Sweet Almond Oil

1 teaspoon Lemon Essential Oil

1 teaspoon Orange Essential Oil

Lemon Zest

These essential oils go together like a match made in heaven. The lemon is clean and crisp while the orange adds a sweetness that balances out the combination. It’s perfection.

Start your recipe by zesting the lemon peel. You can add as much or as little as you’d like, but I think I ended up using about 2 teaspoons.

Gently stir the lemon zest and sugar together. The sugar will coat the lemon bits making it easy to evenly distribute the small amount of zest throughout the sugar.

Once the lemon is speckled throughout the sugar, add in the almond oil,

and the essential oils and stir it all together.

The finished product will be a pale yellow moist mixture lightly speckled with lemon bits. It smells SO SO good! And it looks pretty good too!

I scooped my finished scrub into a jar and made a pretty label on the computer to finish the look (sorry, I snapped the pic before I put the sticker on- it was a pretty one, you’ll have to trust me! 🙂

    1. This can last up to 2-4 weeks refrigerated, and can be stored in a glass jar. It makes around 8 oz.

      Happy Creating!

    1. I would recommend using Jojoba, Argan, or Coconut Oil as they have the same absorbing properties but you could try Grapeseed Oil. Let us know how it goes!
