Have you ever heard of the ancient Egyptian method of removing body hair? Body Sugaring has become widely popular because of it’s all natural ingredients. What is Body Sugaring? It’s sometimes known as “sugar epilation”. Sugaring, or sugar epilation, is an all natural paste made from sugar, lemons, essential oil and water. It’s a safe and effective way of removing hair from your body. It’s even safe enough for your face and sensitive areas.

Homemade Body Sugaring Recipe:

3 cups of white sugar ( I used organic, but regular white sugar is fine)
1/2 cup lemon juice (Store bought or fresh)
1/4 cup warm water
1 teaspoon of Lavender Essential Oil
pot or saucepan
wooden Spoon

Directions:

Put the sugar, lemon juice, water and lavender essential oil into a pan and cook over medium heat. Bring mixture to a boil, then turn to low heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes with a wooden spoon. The mixture will turn into a yellow-orange color and darken within the 20 minutes to a amber color. After 20 minutes pour mixture into a glass container with lid. The mixture will be extremely hot. Please use caution. The mixture should be thick and slightly sticky.

How do I use it?

I suggest using a Muslim hair removal strip. They’re natural and work great. Spread a thin layer of paste to area of skin, place removal strip on paste and pat down. Pulling against the direction in which your hair grows, rip strip off. Yes, it will still sting a bit. What we do for beauty:)

*Tip: Always use gloves when working with skin. Hair removal will leave the skin very sensitive, so it’s best to work with clean surfaces, and sterile hands.

**These also work great as gift if you package them in a jar with a nice bow on it for your closest of friends! 🙂
